Always something new...

Having only been writing erotica for a few months so far I have only managed to complete 7 short tales, yet I would eventually like to be able to make my tales both longer and even better but i'm not quite sure where to get the best advice as there seems to be a lack of really useful sites for erotic writers. Does anybody know of any sites where I could get some excellent hints and tips?

My writing is improving gradually, I think, and each chapter I write does now consist of one major scene. I am also finding easier to join my chapters together, keeping the flow. I do this by writing one chapter and laving it a couple of days before re-reading the chapter and then starting the next one straight after

Short stories in this genre usually boil down to one scene. If you have a 'mini-epic' story floating around in your head, choose the scene that has most impact. Personally, I write this scene putting everything into the story that I see in my mind's eye. Editing and re-editing is the key to producing a good short story within the required word count. Put the story aside for a few days between edits. Remove anything that doesn't add to the story or isn't necessary. Be ruthless! Point readers in the right direction, but allow plenty of scope for their imagination to fill in the blanks. Good luck.

Just lately I have been searching the internet for books on the art of writing erotica and have found some good ones that deal with all aspects of the genre.

I have the reverse problem! I get an idea for an erotic theme, and my imagination just takes off and flies! Most of mine seem like mini-epics, cut down to bare bones to make them (as required by some magazines) extremely short stories... some less than 2000 words! I'd like tips on being more concise, or less wordy, or how to just 'vignette' some of my stuff...
