Hi everyone and thank you for the invite Miranda. I had 4 stories published with Xcite last year. This year I have been concentrating on writing in other genres. My main blog is here: http://djkirkby.blogspot.com/ come over and say hello sometime. Denyse
I'm a 'both'! Granted, I've read a lot more Xcite books than I've appeared in, but I'm working on it!
I have a day job but I do freelance writing in my spare time and have had work published in various places on the web and in print. I do write 'vanilla' but prefer erotica as it's more fun! I have my own website, www.lucyfelthouse.co.uk and you can read some of my stories there, and at http://fantasy-nuggets.blogspot.com.
Hi, Miranda! Thanks for starting this forum. It's wonderful!
I started out a few years ago when my short erotic fiction was published by Scarlet Magazine. Since then, my short stories have appeared in anthologies by Whiskey Creek Press Torrid and eXcessica. I have stories coming out soon with Forbidden Publications and Circlet Press. My first novel, "The Haunting Of The Sandpiper Inn", will be released in 2009 by Whiskey Creek Press Torrid. I'm also the sex writer for the pop culture e-zine nuts4chic. N4C is in hiatus right now, and I expect it to start up again in early 2009.
I"m looking forward to meeting more Xcite authors and readers here. I plan to write more for Xcite, starting in January, once the holiday rush has abated. :)
Hi everyone. After some initial success with Xcite (five stories published), I was unfortunate to be diagnosed with a serious illness which (for a while at least) put an end to my writing aspirations. I'm in remission now and find myself with a huge backlog of ideas and notes to wade through. My plan is to flesh out these ideas and hopefully submit a handful of stories in the near future. I'm also close to finishing a couple of erotic novels and of course there is always that elusive 'big one' that seems to be constantly on the back burner.
I also have a day job, researching and writing in a technical field.
I seem to be light years behind everyone else with respect to web presence, therefore I am grateful to Miranda (and Xcite) for this opportunity to meet other authors and readers and perhaps (in a small way) be involved in this growing community.
I've just re-read my last entry and realise it sounds as if I'm fishing for sympathy. I'm not. However, I would like one last comment. For all aspiring authors out there: Give it a go! Don't wait until you retire or think you have more time. As they say, you never know what's around the corner. Now, back to the writing...
Hi everyone! I'm an avid reader of erotica and most other things but haven't written anything... yet. Leeds Erotica Festival are uber keen to promote erotic arts and support erotica authors. In fact I'm currently wading through entries to this years Leeds Erotica Festival erotic short story competition, kindly sponsored by Xcite. We're all done with this year's (the first ever!) festival but it was a fantastic success (even though I wish some of it had been better attended - Erotic Literature Day Miranda?!) and we will definatley be doing it again next year. I'm sure I'll let you know more about it as time passes... ;0)
Yes, we could have had a few more people but it was good fun and I enjoyed myself - even went to the opera - which is an experienced I hadn't guessed I'd have when I signed up for the festival!
I’m Arthur Chappell. I was born in Manchester England on 9/2/1962. I have a lit/phil degree. I was brainwashed into a cult, which I escaped from in 1985. I write to prove that I am more than just a victim, I am a member of the Sealed Knot English Civil War Re-enactment Society, serving as a pike-man in the New Model Army. I have several articles, poems and stories in print as well as a website. With lots of performance poems, science fiction, horror, non-fiction, etc, under my belt erotica is my most recent area of writing, with recent successes in Scarlet Magazine among others. Hi everyone, I'm not normally into social networking and tend to steer clear of things like Spacebook and My Face (or whatever they are) but this ning thing that Miranda has set up seems to be a nice idea.
Anyway, She Who Must Be Obeyed requested an introduction so here we go. My name's David and I'm 40 years old. I recently took redundancy from the marketing research company where I'd worked for nearly 20 years and this has allowed me to spend some more time on my writing. I've been writing spanking stories (mainly female/female) for a few years now (under the pen-name of "Heather Davidson") but it's only recently that I've begun to submit things to publishers. A lot of my stories are a bit quirky; almost science fantasy type spanking stories! I find it quite easy to invent characters and come up with different scenarios but I'm finding that the actual spanking scenes are becoming harder to write! My best friend at the moment is my Thesaurus. I keep getting it out to check if there are any other words for "bottom" that I might have over-looked!
Regards,
David.
Hi, I'm AstridL. Several of my stories have been in Xcite anthologies. I'm pretty lazy about blogging but I blog as AstridL at AstridL's Pages http://astridl.blogspot.com/
Another part of me blogs a bit more at Merc's World http://mercsworld.blogspot.com/
I'm a bit all over the place with my writing and reading.
Wishing you all the best for the festive season, and thanks, Miranda for the invite.
